Rep. Pavlov brings Michigan perspective to discussions at the White House
RELEASE|March 3, 2026

State Rep. Joe Pavlov recently traveled to Washington, D.C., as part of a delegation of Michigan lawmakers invited to participate in a state leadership conference at the White House. The visit included discussions with cabinet-level officials in the Trump Administration about policies shaping Michigan’s economy, communities, and future growth.

Pavlov said the trip provided an opportunity to ensure Michigan’s priorities are part of the national conversation.

“When decisions are being made in Washington, it’s important that leaders hear directly from the states,” said Pavlov (R-Smiths Creek). “This visit gave us the chance to bring Michigan’s perspective to the table and highlight the issues that matter most to our communities.”

Pavlov said meetings with federal officials also allowed lawmakers to exchange ideas and discuss how state and federal governments can work together more effectively.

“State leaders are often closest to the people affected by these policies,” Pavlov said. “Maintaining strong relationships with federal partners helps ensure we are moving in the right direction for Michigan and delivering results for the people we serve.”

Pavlov said he appreciated the opportunity to represent Michigan in the discussions and looks forward to continuing to advocate for policies that strengthen communities in the thumb and across the state.
